sustainable and aesthetic functionality
At Asakura Robinson we believe that environmental stewardship is the foundation of our practice. This philosophy is the primary focus that guides our work and we measure each of our projects with the principles and practices that advance sustainability and health in the communities we work in. Building on this philosophy we advocate through our design to ultimately serve the greater good of the community with sustainable practices, walkability, improved health and well-being, understanding of cultural diversity, and enhancement of the arts in the community.
Equally important are recognition of the aesthetic and functional aspect of our design. We believe delivering a functional and technically competent project is an imaginative and creative design and problem solving process. We are challenged by that and thrive on the process that brings tangible benefits to our clients. Most of all, we are driven by the pursuit of highly developed aesthetic visions and a dedication to detail execution
Firm profile
Asakura Robinson Company is a Houston based landscape architectural and planning firm committed to deliver creative and inspiring design through commitment to stewardship of the environment.
Founded in 2004 by Keiji Asakura and Margaret Robinson, the firm has built a solid reputation for sustainable design solutions and design excellence. For the past 30 years, principals of Asakura Robinson have delivered projects large and small, locally and internationally by providing our clients with creative design solutions to meet their specific needs for complex and challenging problems. We believe a successful project requires understanding the visions and needs of clients and is the first step in our collaborative design process.
Our works have been recognized through numerous design awards and acknowledged by our community of critics, peers and clients at the national, state and local levels. Keiji Asakura has received several service awards including the 2009 President’s Call to Service Award and the 2005 Mayor’s Proud Partner Award for Distinguished Service.
Our people are our most valued resource; the essential element that drives our collaborative design process. The Asakura Robinson team represents a broad cross section of the profession and of society as a whole. Our diversity fuels our creative efforts as we deliver well designed, environmentally responsible and technically sound projects.
